General Dentistry for Dental Health and Beauty

General dentistry is a branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment of cavities and other dental problems. In other words, these are the standard dental treatment services familiar to everyone, which not only allow for the correction of existing dental damage or diseases but also help avoid the risk of complex and long-term dental conditions.

The goal of dental therapy is to diagnose dental and gum diseases, restore tooth structure and function, and prevent further damage and the progression of disease. General dental therapy covers a wide range of dental services, including preventive dental and oral health examinations, dental X-rays, caries treatment and fillings, root canal treatment and retreatment, dental restoration, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, pediatric dentistry, and other services.

The Adoria Health and Beauty Center’s dental clinic offers a wide range of dental therapy services using state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Our professional and experienced team of dental specialists will take care of your dental health in a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere, without unnecessary discomfort or unpleasant emotions!

When is dental treatment necessary?

  • Development of caries: Caries, also known as tooth decay or a cavity, is a progressive dental disease that causes demineralization and breakdown of the hard tissues of the tooth—enamel and dentin. The development of caries is caused by acid-producing bacteria that multiply in dental plaque. If caries is not treated in a timely manner, deeper tooth decay and inflammation of the dental pulp (the tooth’s nerves and other soft tissues), periodontitis, and other dental diseases will develop over time.
  • Periodontal diseases: It is important to diagnose periodontal diseases—affecting the tissues supporting the teeth—early, as over time these conditions progress to a chronic form that cannot be completely cured and requires ongoing maintenance therapy under the supervision of a periodontist.

In advanced cases, there is a high risk of tooth loss and a significant impact on the patient’s overall health. The most common periodontal disease is gingivitis—inflammation of the gums—which, if left untreated, progresses to periodontitis—inflammation of the gums and surrounding dental tissues—leading to the loss of periodontal ligaments and bone tissue.

  • Dental trauma: dental damage, cracks, and fractures resulting from trauma or other accidents must be addressed as soon as possible to avoid the risk of rapid caries and inflammation, as well as to restore the tooth’s natural functions. Restoring the natural functions of the teeth is important not only for aesthetic reasons but also for overall health. This restores full chewing function, speech function, and proper bite alignment. Depending on the extent of tooth damage, the patient undergoes tooth restoration using special fillings—inlays and onlays—or through the placement of a dental crown, bridge, or removable denture. If one or more natural teeth have been completely lost and restoration is not possible, the patient is offered dental implantology services.
  • Tooth wear and tooth sensitivity: Over time, tooth enamel can wear down, making teeth more sensitive to both cavities and temperature changes, as well as the effects of other external factors. Gum recession can also contribute to tooth sensitivity. General dental therapy includes various solutions to reduce tooth sensitivity and restore teeth affected by wear.
  • Dental calculus: hard, mineral-based deposits on the teeth that most often form as a result of inadequate oral hygiene. Over time, dental calculus contributes to gum inflammation and recession, as well as the risk of cavities and tooth loss. Professional tartar removal is one of the general dental services.
  • Preventive and timely care for dental health will not only boost your self-confidence in your daily and professional life, but also helps prevent serious and difficult-to-treat dental conditions, as well as general health issues, which are often indirectly caused by untreated dental problems.
