Family doctor, founder of the Adoria clinic
Ārija Lāce (also known as Ārija Bušmane) was a deeply loved family doctor. People could come to her with their worries and feel truly heard. She knew how to take her time, look closely and be there at the moment a person needed it most. To many patients, Ārija was a doctor they could trust with all their heart.
Ārija was determined, full of energy and able to inspire others. Her vision of a clinic where professional medical care goes hand in hand with humanity and genuine care became reality on 21 March 2006, when she founded Adoria. The values Ārija established live on in the clinic’s work.
Ārija earned her medical degree at the Latvian Academy of Medicine in 1994 and her family doctor certification in 1997. She never stopped learning: in 2011 she was certified in occupational medicine at Rīga Stradiņš University, and in 2019 in qigong therapeutic methods.
We remember Ārija with love and gratitude — for the warmth of her heart, her strength, and everything she gave to her patients, colleagues and loved ones.
We invite Ārija’s patients, colleagues, friends and everyone whose life she touched to come together to remember Ārija, share memories and say goodbye.
We kindly ask you not to bring flowers — your presence will be the greatest support.
A sculpture in Ārija’s memory is planned, to be installed in a public space. If you would like to voluntarily support its creation, donation options are available on the page of the “Tabitas sirds” association.
